The main scope of UDT ’s activity is technical inspection of equipment that may pose risk to life, property or environment and is conducted in accordance with the act on technical inspection.
Each technical equipment is designed and manufactured in such a way as to minimize the risks associated with its operation to the level of acceptable risk. In the EU, this is regulated by the regulations implementing community directives. However, in the operation phase, when the equipment is in the hands of particular persons, when it requires ongoing maintenance, and its individual components are subject to wear, hazards may arise.
Technical inspection is defined by the act and is aimed at the safe operation of technical equipment.
Technical equipment posing a threat to human life or health and to property or environment, by expanding liquids or gases under increase of pressure, releasing potential or kinetic energy when moving people or loads within a limited range and spreading hazardous materials during their operation, storage or transport is being subject to technical inspection.
UDT as an inspection body meets the requirements of EN ISO / IEC 17020: 2012, which is confirmed by the accreditation certificate No. AK 001, issued by the Polish Center for Accreditation.
